Tonya Kay is a pure renegade actress, professional dancer, pole athlete, burlesque performer, danger artist and raw vegan Chaote. Growing up in a southern Michigan farmtown, Tonya Kay is living proof of what a child raised in love grows up to be.
She has toured live in STOMP and performed aerial in De La Guarda. Her acting roles span tv’s House, Numbers and Criminal Minds to indie film leads in Bold Native, Kill Corporation and Video Game Reunion. She has danced and performed her danger arts in The Muppets Movie, Lone Ranger, Glee and as backup for Rihanna, Panic At The Disco and Kenny Rogers. Tonya Kay stunt doubled (aerial and fire) for PINK in the Cover Girl commercial campaign and stunt coordinated Mac Miller’s new “Somebody Do Something” music video starring Cory Feldman.
She is a Platinum Stages Sponsored Pole Athlete, has performed her pole work with Harry Shum on the Kev jumba Takes All series as well as live with Luscious Maven. A trained improv comedian with Second City, Tonya Kay is host and company member of the Lalas Burlesque, has performed solos on Showtime, Comedy Central and America’s Got Talent, and guest stars her grinder girl, bullwhip, fire tassels and bathtub burlesque acts as featured entertainer in some of the classiest and sketchiest venues across the globe.
