>> Among the countries represented in the answers were: Thai- land, Brazil, Hong Kong and Argentina. In Thailand and Hong Kong, pole dancing is well known as a form of fitness, so many people from those countries were already familiar with the idea of pole dancing as a sport. However in Brazil, it was only known for the ex- otic, sensual side. SuzeQ also talked with a few women who, from a feminist perspective, thought what she was doing was wrong. After sharing what pole had done for her, the women were able to reconsider their thoughts on pole dancing.

“My long term goal is to educate people about pole and its healing benefits and how it is helping people.”

Pole The Documentary will be screened at The Palms for Fawnia Dietrich’s event in September 2012.
